Authentic: A New Surf Film from France

I found an interesting (and quite visually pleasing) blog yesterday charting the progress of the upcoming French indie surf film, Avthentic. A combination of my stellar high school French paired with the English provided on the site piqued my curiosity so I hit up the contact email on the site. The filmmaker, Rudy Jacques, says he's been working on the film with friends for the last 6 months.

"It will be a movie about logs especially, but other boards such as single fin shortboards, maybe thrusters, a little bit of mini-simmons. Moreover, i'd like to add parts about surf culture..." says Rudy.

He elaborates on the shapers & other artists that he'll follow, however, Rudy admits he's still got a long way to go before completing the film. If the photos & artwork on the blog are any indication of Rudy's story-telling capabilities, then I think we're in for a compelling look into this guy's world.
